Work Week Playlist: Women's History Month (Empowerment Edition)
March 13/14 because life was going super fast and I didn't get a chance to post on Friday 🙃
Welcome to Workweek Playlist, where we celebrate the end of the workweek with a curated playlist full of positive vibes, uplifting messages, and celebratory energy.
This edition is a little different. Instead of music, I’m sharing podcast episodes that help me reset and reflect after a hectic week.
Last week life was going 0 to 100 real quick, so I didn’t get a chance to post my Friday playlist on Friday.
During a meeting that day, someone asked how my week had been. I told them honestly, it had been a lot, and I felt like I needed a hug. That moment got me thinking about what I actually needed to hear to close out the week on a good note.
So while I’m doing the usual Saturday things, laundry, cleaning, and running behind my four-year-old, I thought I’d share three podcast episodes that instantly ground me and remind me that I’m loved, capable, and supported.
You Are Chosen — Devi Brown with Dr. Lakeysha Hallmon
I first heard this podcast episode while walking my dog back in the fall, and I immediately sent it to all of my friends because it felt so raw, real, loving, and refreshing. If you need a reminder that who you are is enough, especially at work, this is the episode for you.
Brené Brown on How to Be Your Most Brave and Courageous Self on the Marie Forelo Podcast
I’ve been listening to this Marie Forloe’s and Brené Brown’s podcast episode since 2019, and this episode is a great reminder of why staying true to our values helps guide us through tough moments, especially at work.
Maya Angelou’s Masterclass
Anything by Maya Angelou will make you radically curious about yourself and how you show up in the world.
We made it.
And will continue to do so.
